Alchemical Poisoning

“Alchemical Poisoning” was a University project by me, Corporate Christ in 2019. The task was to build a Sampler using Kontakt 6 and to create a piece of work demonstrating it within Logic Pro. The main noise sounds were created through a circuit bent toy keyboard called “The Bendinator” created by a friend. Other field samples included plastic bags, tambourines, handclaps, Pornhub noises, book flipping, wine slurping and hitting cardboard and plastic. A text to speech generator was used for the reading of Genesis from the Bible.

The Pornhub samples were taken from films with actors who have Biblical names.

The beginning also has samples of my voice played backwards. I am saying “In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word was God”

My latest album “The Death Of A Dying Star” will be released later this summer. It sees me return to more guitar-driven music after the synthpop record “Adam Kadmon: When The Heart Implodes” released in 2017 which documented the days and nights following the death of my ex-partner.
